decades of research and development. It has undergone rigorous research and shown to improve peak power output by 13.7%.
In 1998, Bryan Speight of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain invented the first magnetic breathing device to help those with compromised lung function. Positive tests were conducted on patients suffering from Asthma.
Understanding the possible benefits, Dr Craig Roberts, a leader in Sports and Exercise Medicine, conducted a double-blind clinical trial on the effect of the X-Lung® on exercise performance, the results of which showed an increase in Peak Power Output of 13.7%.
Subsequently, an MSc study was conducted at UKZN on the efficacy of X-lung® on optimising cardiorespiratory function in endurance athletes, results of which not only supported the findings by Roberts but also showed enhanced increases in red blood cells, haemoglobin and lung function.

Professor Andrew Bosch, PhD
Professor Andrew Bosch is an Exercise Scientist based at the University of Cape Town and Sports Science Institute of South Africa. An NRF-rated scientist, Professor Bosch has published over 90 peer-reviewed scientific manuscripts in the field of exercise performance and sports nutrition in international journals, written a number of book chapters on these topics, presented at national and international scientific conferences and serves on the editorial boards of international exercise & sports medicine journals.
Professor Bosch is the Chair of the American College of Sports Medicine Endurance Athlete Science & Medicine Interest Group, is Co-Chair of the International Sub 2hrs Marathon Project and serves on the committee of the International Association of Ultra-Running Scientific Commission.
Once a competitive national level athlete with a marathon best time of 2hrs 21mins, Professor Bosch still runs recreationally, managing about 100km per week when not injured. He now enjoys combining his academic expertise with his past running experience to coach a number of distance runners, from beginner to Olympic level.
Professor Bosch supervised the studies conducted by Dr Craig Roberts towards his MPhil degree in Sports & Exercise Medicine, which established the performance benefits attributable to the use of the X-Lung.

Since using the X-Lung my recovery from hard paddling has improved. Long hold downs in heavy water have also been easier though please learn correct techniques for breath holds then use X-Lung as a tool to enhance lung capacity.

Bought to give up vaping, other “natural” products tasted bad, or others had no deep inhale feel that I was craving. The size of this and weight helps replace the feel of a vape in my hand. The filter does help with an added resistance breath but found I need to add cotton to the top just to add a bit more resistance. This has been very helpful habit replacer.
I personally feel that this is a really unique exciting performance product that will assist athletes whether professional or amateur. The X-Lung could also improve the general wellbeing of the general population. I would highly recommend it
X-Lung has to be the best product for any lung problem. I used it for a persistent cough and mucous which troubled me for weeks. After using the X-Lung for 2 days, my coughing disappeared and I had no more mucous.
